Solar Flares Extinguish Suns Hot Streak

After having a slow start to the season, winning only 1 of their first 6 games, the Suns suddenly got hot hitting the ball as they scored 41 runs in their last three games. So coming into this Saturdays game against the currently worst rank team in the league, the Suns figured they would have a cake walk to victory. The Solar Flares, however, had different ideas. At the end of three innings, the Suns found themselves down 0 to 3 to a supposedly weak Solar Flare team. In the sixth inning, the Suns finally came on strong with a Homerun by Gildor and a triple by Slater. With several singles to add to the bunch, the Suns score 5 runs in the 6th and 7th innings. In the bottom of the 8th, however, Kipps hits a double and Knight hits a Homerun to tie it up. In the top of the 10th, the Suns' Franwall hits a solo homerun to give his team the advantage. In the bottom of the 10th, Knight starts off the inning with a single. Stewart and Ashton subsequently fly out and strikeout respectively. With two outs, "Jet" Lee smacks a homerun in deep center field to win the game. It was a much needed victory for a Solar Flare team that had struggled all season.
